Having a background in marine biology and a masters in wildlife filmmaking, Kate specializes in telling stories about science, nature, and people through long form documentary series and features. She also has a long track record of creating curriculum-ready short form science documentaries for students in partnership with the HHMI. Her work has won multiple awards, as well as an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Nature Documentary for Naledi: One Little Elephant. Her credits span across Netflix, National Geographic, Discovery, PBS, ZDF and Channel 4. Kate has filmed on all seven continents, and is also a certified drone pilot and sailor.
